Big News!!!

After 7 years of photographing all my clients babies, it is finally my turn... yes, I am pregnant! 15 weeks to be exact. Jack and I are very, very excited to expand the family, though Jack is a little freaked out!

With the exciting news out of the way now let's talk about the more serious stuff. Is anyone doing the math here... the baby is due December 1st... not exactly the best time to have a baby in my business so there will be a few changes this season that everyone should be aware of so that Christmas cards get done before my life gets turned upside down.

Booking Appointments
I will not be booking shoots for November. Last November I had almost 40 shoots for the month so all of us need to start planning ahead and making appointments for June through October. One thing that you should be aware of is the fact that I have a wedding every Saturday from June 26th through the end of August. I will be opening up every other Sunday to shoot, but those spots will fill up fast so if you need a weekend, don't wait to book. For those of you that have school age children, a mid week shoot might be perfect for you during summer time and is something you may want to consider.

Christmas Deadlines
There are a few of you that have not ordered your prints from last year. If you are planning on doing this please do so before the end of July. All print orders for 2009 shoots that are placed before the end of July will receive a 20% discount. If you need me to reload a gallery for you that is not problem just shoot me an email.

My 2010 deadlines may be extended depending on when the baby comes, but I won't guarantee anything before Christmas if the orders come in after the deadline . All shoots must be done before November. Print and card orders must be placed by November 20th in order to get them by Christmas. If you turn in your orders close to the deadline then turn around times may change depending on delivery so the earlier the better.

I know that getting orders in so early can be challenging, but it will help you and I eliminate some of that December stress by getting this done early.

Mini Sessions
Normally mini sessions take place all on the same weekend, I don't want to commit to 18 shoots over two days this session, I simply don't know how I will feel with a giant belly. So here is how it will work this year. I will have 15 mini session openings, no more. The sessions must be scheduled between September 15th and September 30th. Sessions will be $174 ($160 plus tax) and will go for 20 minutes each. You will have the option of shooting in the studio or shooting at Grape Day Park (down the street from my house). I added the option of a different location for those of you that have done mini sessions for the last few years and for those with toddlers. If you are planning on doing a mini session and have a baby who is not yet walking then the studio is the best location for your shoot. Again mini sessions come with 20-30 unretouched digital files. Call early, mini sessions fill up the fastest.
